4x4 light comes on while cruising on highway

Hello,

I recently came across this "problem" while cruising on the highway. I normally drive within my city and it has never came on before. But as of recent I have been exploring a bit more, driving to places that require the highway. I set the cruise control on at 60mph and few minutes later the light appears on my dash. (4x4, brake light) And when that happens it disables the cruise control. Just curious as to what is causing this. It goes away when I turn off the car and turn it back on. This light only comes on when Im cruising on highway. I am running the OEM 162 staggered setup 225/40/18, 255/35/18

You need to scan the car for codes. Could be a lot of things.

Check for codes. Sounds like a wheel speed sensor going out or DSC malfunction of some sort.

I was just going to say, I had this happen a few years back and it was the wheel speed sensor.
