3 O2 sensors at once?
Hi all,
Car is a 2006 E90 330i (N52) Recently had a fuel leak (breather pipe), had the garage fix, all went well. Got the car back and it has an engine warning light - read the codes... P0036, P0050 and P0056. Heater control circuit for Bank 1 sensor 2, Bank 2 sensor 1, and bank 2 sensor 2. No other codes! Engine runs absolutely fine. Initially thought fuse but checked fuse, and I would imagine all 4 would show up if it were the fuse? Any other ideas? Cant be 3 O2 sensors dying at once? (I've tried clearing the code, but reappears next startup) Cheers! |

Is it possible that the garage inadvertently plugged the sensors into the wrong plugs? Perhaps they had to unplug them in order to complete the work? Or maybe left them unplugged all-together? GL mate

Definitely worth a check, cheers! Anyone know if they'd need to remove the exhaust to take the fuel tank off? Only reason I can think they'd unplug O2 sensors!

It's highly doubtful they'd remove the entire exhaust, or at least the headers (exhaust manifold).. and that's where the O2 sensors are. I'd imagine that they would disconnect the exhaust at the end of the manifolds, thus not needing to touch the O2 sensors. But who knows?
