F30 - Rear M Performance Diffuser - Paint or leave matt??

I am going to swap the OEM M-Sport valance for the M-Performance Diffuser. The car is sapphire black and I am toying with going gloss black to match the front grille? (I appreciate they cannot be seen together at the same time!)

Has anyone got any photos of a painted diffuser, especially in gloss black? Potential for chips and damage maybe?

Appreciate any feedback and thoughts.

If I put the M-perfomance splitter on the front I am minded to go Sapphire Black on the upper parts with gloss black on the lower "blade" to match grilles and not have 3 shades of black on the front of the car....

Thank you!

Id just leave it matt, dont think having it painted is worth the cost.

UKF30 had his diffuser painted gloss back on his F30. Looks quite good! I'm sure he'll post up some pics for you.

I have Sapphire Black F31 and didn't paint it, couldn't see the point. I gives a subtle contrast to the rear of the car.

I did paint the front lip but only the ends that sit over the bumper, so the blade matches the rear as continuity.

If it was a different colour car then would paint the outer parts or the rear diffuser and keep the centre fins as they come.

I would say paint it and then it all be colour coded rather than leaving black raw plastic .

Painted mine, gloss orbit grey with matt orbit grey centre. Wanted something different from the bare plastic(that still looks good though)

I'm actually thinking about going black if I do the wheels black. No rush though.

Left mine matte, but I think it looks good with AW. If I had a black or grey I would probably gloss them out and color match.

Mine's currently bare plastic, it gets dirty very quickly (given the time of year).

When I clean the car I use Autoglym - Vinyl & Rubber Care which brings it up to a really nice deep black, my worry is that the plastic will start to fade, so might get it painted at some point.

Mine is all matt currently, but since putting the black stripes on the car which are gloss, I'm thinkig of having it all redone in gloss black
