Window Streeking/lines??

Does anyone have this issue with their cars?

Everytime I wash the car and open and close the window a white residue lines show up on the inside of the window on both passenger and driver side windows.

I brought it to the dealer since its been doing this for a long time. First I thought it was something dirty on the felt but it looks clean.

The dealer told me its something the tint person did when they put on the tint??

Has anyone else experienced this???

I get lines, but they are always on the outside. After I wash the car or it rains, and I have to lower my window either getting the mail or entering the parking ramp at work, I am always left with streaky water marks on my window.

Happened all the time in my Audi. Not so much in bimmer, but I do see a faint, white line. WTF?

I get the line on the outside of my window all the time, and my car is brand new with NO tint.

if I roll the window half way down, when I roll it up, there will be a line of dirt/dust on the outside of the window where the mole skin (felt) has pushed up the dirt. Don't know if there is anything the dealer can really do about it. I just roll the window completely down to get rid of the line.

Every time I roll down my window it comes back up with white streaks especially near the front close to the side mirror.

I have a horizontal line, but I have a feeling it's where one of the stickers wasn't thoroughly washed off and it's just picking up some residue. Would probably go away if I cleaned it up more. Forgot about it last time I cleaned it.

The reason, as explained to me from my tinting guy, is because there is a rubber seal inside the door, about 1"- 2" below the felt. It is simular to the seal that is on the outside of some older/other cars. What happens is that dirt gets stuck there, and as you put up/down the window, it causes streeks, Especially now with all the pollen.

I had this happen before I got the tint. Then when I got the tint done, he told me that he will cut it out for me, since that rubber is not necessary. He cut it out, and guess what, no more streaks!
