Not worth the money. $800 for an intake and a who-knows-whats-in-it tune? Ouch. There's no way in hell you're getting 29hp / 29ft-lbs from an intake and a tune on a 328i. Maybe 10whp if you're lucky.

You can do a 3 stage manifold for basically the cost of the manifold (~$300), and be way ahead on power and torque.. using the stock airbox. I have a basic 3-stage tune (like a stock 330i, as if the 328i had come that way from the factory) for free on bimmerlabs.

I have been curious about the Turner tunes, myself. I have yet to see any mention of them here, curious as to why.

The gains they claim don't seem all TOO outlandish (assuming that they're referencing crank gains, as most vendors do).. ~23 whp/tq gains from a tune and intake seem possible to me, but that's probably a pretty high estimate and I would imagine they got those figures from a car that already had other supporting mods such as a full exhaust.

Either way, I would stay away from this package because that intake is far from ideal and probably worse than the stock intake (assuming charcoal filter has been removed).

Turner wins races, that's all I really know about them. That's enough most of the time though. The Turner-designed parts are all great.

The package seems reasonably priced. I don't have any reason to believe their tunes would be sub-par, they've been racing fuel-injected BMWs for 25 years.

I have been planning on purchasing the Stage 2 tune from them , but this would be the first shelf tune ive every purchased. I am use to going to a dyno tunning company and getting custom tuned. But..... with my AWD it has been a pain in the ass even finding a shop that can do it.

I doubt they did the tune themselves. If you want to pay $800 for an air filter and what is likely to be a mediocre tune, I won't stop you though.

Tunes from 25+ years ago really have no bearing on a modern BMW either.. FWIW they didn't make those either. Jim Conforti did.

this is kinda where I'm at on it too - doesn't seem worth the cost. If it was say $500 I might be persuaded but the gains associated with the 3 stage manifold outweigh this package, plus a decent used intake can be had on the BM.

Was curious if anyone has used, but doesn't seem there are many, if any. I think I'll be taking my mod money somewhere else, except when I need some suspension upgrades. I'll certainly use Turner there as there a couple hours from me.
