Door projector lights

Hi,
Are they suppose to be a exact replacement fit wise or do you have to make the Hole/slot slightly wider ?
I had a brief try the other day but they wouldn't fit, couldn't spend much time as it then started snowing

Hi

Pre LCI light will fit straight in, LCI is very different and the wiring is different, BMW sell LCI lights expensive and not the best reviews

So they sell 2 types of light ? Or one light but the fit can be different depending if your car is LCI or before?

I assume the LCI has a different loom as it's all LED, the connection is different from the pre.

I installed them in my car I had to make the hole slightly bigger using a stanley knife, it cuts quite easy. Then they plugged straight in to the wring thats there, my car is an LCI.
The kit I used is the BMW one no. 63312414105

Garage List
I didn't want to cut anything so I just shoved them in. Eventually they both fit. The drivers side fit pretty easily after using some force but the passenger side took an insane amount of force and much more time.

If you have access to a garage and a creeper it will make your life much easier.

Ok so just fitted them today ... same part number as yourself but i'm pre LCI. Little tough to get them in but wriggling & brute force are the trick.
Wont fancy trying to remove them to chane the lense though.
I await the dark to check them out.

Thanks to all that replied

I'm a LCI car and they fitted, they are a bit tight, but no cutting required. Same part as my 330 has as.

These door projector lights look pretty neat but do people think they're worth the money?

I would only buy OEM but kind of feel they're not of great value. Kind of one of those things you might not even notice after 1-2 weeks

Would be keen to hear thoughts before I make a purchase.
