I'd like to piggyback on this thread and ask if its possible to use an aftermarket clamp on exhaust? Or will cutting and welding be involved?

Best using what criteria? Everyone has his own. Some like loud, some like big tips, some lightweight. Best quality construction? Best value? Increased performance? Your question is not answerable unless qualified.

I'm going Eisenamnn Sport Performance for looks, quality and a throatier but not-too-loud sound.

... not too concerned about the performance (so as long as it does not drop performance) ... looks: yes, quality of course, best value: yes ... nicer sound: yes

Both the Remus and Eisenmann require you to hack off the muffler. Really easy work for a muffler shop to do.

looks like I was quite confused. yes the muffler needs to be hacked off but the rest of the system can either be clamped or welded.

I have the Supersprint Sport. Perfect fit with oem parts, no cutting or welding, high quality, better, deeper sound, but not intrusive or droning. Should have been the oem system.

I assume they've worked out their quality control issues with welds breaking from a couple years ago?

Any vid/sound clips of your car?

Also, any recommendations on where to buy it? I'll be happy to support M3Post & get it from one of their sponsors.
