Just curious to know if the M2 in Australia gets TPMS?

Hmmm not sure. Don’t really worry about things like that. I think there is because I’ve seen it on the screen. Maybe that is my M3. Not sure lol

it does have the TPMS (basic version?) haven't really looked into it and check if it displays each tyre's temperature.

Yes, it shows each tyre's temperature and pressure and alerts if one is low.

I have found the pressure readings to not be overly accurate though, mine tends to read 1-2 psi less than my digital pressure gauge.

Yeah I'm not that worried about the reading, I just want to buy a second set for my aftermarket wheel so the warning light doesn't come on!

Are the sensors actually located on the wheels for Australian delivered cars? I was under the impression that's only in the US and our cars utilise the abs sensors or something?
This was the case on my 1 series.

Yes they are mate, I've just confirmed it with my dealer.

They were $250 per sensor through bmw on a trade account.

I just purchased them from the states for $280 AUD shipped for the set of 4.

Ok thanks, good to know. Crikey they're bloody expensive at $250 a pop, good work getting all 4 for nearly the same price.

Mine read a bit under my Jamec Pem dial gauge but are all consistent & having the TPMS has already come in handy. I use one of my pre-set buttons to check every drive and discovered a rear tyre was 50kPa lower than the other 3, the sidewall looked OK but I had picked up a screw so off to get plugged.

For anyone who may be interested BMW AU from late last year are selling German made tyre valve caps for the aluminium TPMS valves, $35 a set of 4 part # 36122447402 for the M logo ones (they are aluminium/don't bind & look much better than the plastic BMW USA caps). I discovered these after the tyre fitters lost a couple of my oem caps when fitting the PS4s'.

I can also confirm they are, unfortunately I found out the wrong way. I hate the stock wheels and when I got my new wheels I asked the tyre mob to swap out the pressure monitors from the OEM wheels and fit them to the new wheels - they broke one. It was $190 from BMW Brighton so not sure how you were quoted $250 "trade"... (the tyre mob paid, btw, they were really embarrassed and did everything to fix it quickly).

I find when dropping pressure on track they flag low pressure but I got a Schwaben OBDII diagnostic tool and can quickly wipe the error and prevent limp mode or anything like that. Incidentally, the Schwaben has a caliper release mode for track pad changes. Makes changes very easy .
