M performance Front lip fitment. Please Help!
Hi Fellow G30 owners
I need your help. I installed the M performance style front splitters and lip on M550 last week. Everything looks good from far away. But when I took a closer look, I noticed that the upper splitters, especially the left side, don't fit the bumper 100%. There is a little space/void between the front of the splitter and the front of the bumper.(as if the splitter wasn't pushed all the way in) In the attached picture, you can see the splitter doesn't sit flush against the bumper. So I am here asking for your help. G30 owners that have installed the M performance front splitters/lip. Would you please tell me if your fitment is similar? I will greatly appreciate it if you could show me pictures, too. Thank you in advance!! |

Here is another picture that shows the fitment (or mis-fitment) better.
As you can see, there is gap between the lip and the bumper, which is casting a line of shadow inside the bumper. |

It is Generic. But it is suppose to be top quality and the seller/manufacturer told me the fitment is equivalent to OEM. He said this gap is common even with OEM. So I am trying to find out if that's the case.

i gotta get replica on stuff too as my dealer couldnt get port to install in time so im screwed. However from seeing the actual oem i think they did pretty poorly. Theres not necessarily a fitment gap nut there is a sliver that doesnt connect so that should actually make you feel ok as even OEM front splitter seems a a little off towards the center. Id suggest some more 3m tape and having a shop possible push it in to it.
