Rear turbo will need complete rebuild; suffered delamination on the turbine wheel (see pics).

Didn't happen on my car, so I can't say for sure.

I'd say a flawed compressor wheel; I'd replace both during rebuild, if it were me.

I can understand.

They've got them mislabeled.

Hexon made an actual Stage 1, similar to VTT & RB.

Stage 1 turbos, depending on manufacturer, used either a stock-sized, clipped 11-blade turbine or a stock-sized 9-blade turbine.

Because of this, Stage 1 turbos would not have machined turbine housings, which you can clearly see in the last picture that these do.

The RR550 and RR600 were considered their Stage 2 offerings, RR700 was considered Stage 2+.

I'm curious about who you would go to in order to get parts for these? Is there someone that's supporting this as a matter of course, or would it all be custom work?

I believe these were at 6K when the rear let go.

It would take a new turbine and compressor wheel on the rear turbo.

If it were me, I would also do a new compressor wheel on the front JIC.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 535i and 135i took a slightly different rear turbo from the 335i

There are other turbo services besides forum vendors; you probably have some local to you, if you look.
