HELP with IPOD not working
Does anyone have the same problem with their ipod:
A clock and message that states "loading data pls wait"? it wont go away unitl i unplug the ipod. my ipod worked fine for about 3 weeks then i now get this message upon plugging the ipod into the connector. the ipod works fine with earphones and on an ipod bose docker. the dealer says its the ipod but the apple store says its fine. are there any compatibility issues between nano's and the m3's idrive system? this is maddening. thanks for the advice. |

I would try restoring the ipod first, and checking to see if there is a update to the ipod software available from Apple, via iTunes.
If that doesn't help, see if you can borrow someone elses ipod to try it in your car .... Its possible the BMW ipod interface has gone bad. |

thanks. i did try another ipod and it does work but only for a couple of days, then it has the same problem with the "loading data" message staying on the idrive display. also did restore ipod and downloaded latest version of ipod software. dealer is going to try and replace the USB interface box (which sits between the iPod and the Car Communication Computer). hope this works!
