Question For those who got CF grilles...

For those of you who have installed CF grilles has anyone gotten small bumps on the grilles? Both Monsta and I have CF grilles and small bumps have formed, i am guessing its caused by heat that makes the CF overlays expand that pushes the clear coat up. Anyone else experiencing this?

Typical poor design, poor implementation and or poor materials and process by small aftermarket folks who don't know enough about composites. No surprise. Ditch them and go with matte black - at least the matte ones that are not painted are solid ABS plastic.

Also from Cyba lol. They are great grilles but I am just picky about small things like this.

My second set is alot better than the first, but small bumps/bubbles w/e u want to call them are still forming. Im going to see how this set turns out, if they get worse ill just go with matte black.

yea, Cyba has great service and i have the option to either get refunded or get matte black grilles and get refunded the difference. This is my 2nd set that Cyba sent me and I am very happy with his service and trying to help.

If modbargin's have those too then i guess it just depends on how they were made. Btw, all the CF/matte grilles come from the same place overseas, theres no difference between longtran/modbargins/cyba etc, it just depends how on well they were made, i guess some finish qualities are better than others.

Angry Damn and I wanted CF grills

I guess I will go with mate black or just leave it alone until you all figure out what is really going on until I make my next move. Playing it safe for now

That sucks! At least Cyba has great customer service. If you guys in NJ & NYC are experiencing this prob then I can only imagine how much worst it'd be for me here in Texas heat & humidity (read: much bigger bubbles). I guess it's matte black for me too until this issue is resolved.

I really think its a hit or miss, I dont think all CF grilles are like this, some people that i asked who has CF grilles said theirs were fine. But i am really picky about detail and a bumpy texture bugs me.
