Next weekend, I will be installing 18x9 with ET45, 15mm spacers and 225/40/18. A slight stretch, but it's within the recommended rim width range for the tires. I will update next week when I install them.

FYI, Stock rear wheels are 8.5 and run 255.

I would go for 245/40/18 on a 9 in wheel.

I had 255/35/18 on 18x9 et 31 with no problems. Then I switched to 245/40/18 PS4S. Again, no problem.

2008 335xi NOT lowered

LCI Sedan, stock suspension, Michelin Alpin snow tires 265/40/18, 219m 18x8.5+22 rubs slightly on huge dips (worse with passengers).

Before that the 9.5+22 rubbed like a mother $%^&*#!

But I don't drive the car in the winter, so it's all good! But for DD, I would go for 245/40 or maybe even 255/40 (I like fat tires!) But you can also do 255/35
