Sat Nav Map Scale

Picked up my new X3 with prof sat nav yesterday and notice that local streets are not shown until the scale is down to 250 yds. Has anyone else spotted this? I'm sure that my old X3 showed the smaller roads at 450 yds.
Perhaps it is adjustable but I can't find where.

Agreed. I usually set at 0.25 miles in other cars and see many more roads. Now have to go to 800 yards to see all. Haven't had the time to play with it yet to see if it is in iDrive settings.

It also seems to auto adjust to a larger scale when directing me somewhere. It then moves to a smaller scale when I'm approaching a turn. Sometimes I like a smaller scale so that I can see the side streets and potential short cuts in traffic. I'll adjust downwards, but then it moves up again automatically after a short amount of time.

Maybe that's a setting also.

Yes, the zoom feature can be switched off I believe. The visibility of local roads however would appear to be fixed. 250 yards for this is very limiting. At the 450 yards setting there is not even a sign of a small village never mind about local roads. Given the size and possibilities of the 10.2" screen this seems a backward step and a big one at that!
