Replacing BMW e90 Professional Radio, Direct Swap?
Is it possible to replace the Professional Radio by swapping it out with a different one/ used one from a different car? Or does the radio have to be a specific one for sound systems like HiFi and Logic 7 etc? I am wondering this because the pixels on my radio are all out when the car is warm or in a hot climate. When it is cold outside, the radio is perfectly fine.
Thanks. |

It has to be programmed for the type sound system
and options that you already have. If you are just changing it because the display is bad, which is a common problem, its probably easier to buy the display repair kit for around 100 bucks or send it in for replacement for around 150. If it came out of a car with the same options it would be plug and play. On a 2006 you should be able to code it with a simple D/K can cable and coding software. |
