What’s going to suck about the comp pack is the CCBs standard. I’d never put CCBs on this car even if they were $1k. If I can’t get the comp pack without CCBs the decision will be sooo easy.

If you going to keep your car stock, regular breaks are fine.
But if you tuning it, you need ceramic breaks.
The car will not stop, I am talking from experience.

This is what was reported however after learning there will be a track package in some markets according to lemetier I have a feeling something got lost in the fold mixing those two packages together. I wouldn't take that report as gospel is all I'm saying. However I wouldn't rule it out, this is what Audi did on the RS7 Performance, charged 13k for the upgraded HP, few other bits and CCBs.

Sure it would, why wouldn’t it? What mods make an M5 hard to stop without CCBs considering you can’t get CCBs up to proper operating temp on the street and steels have better initial cold bite?

If you going to tune your car and increase hp, regular breaks will not work well.
On my F10 M5 with regular breaks and increased hp the car had hard time stopping. With my current M6 with 750 hp and ceramic breaks, it stops perfectly.

Not sure if that's really a function of the brakes or the car and how it feels (M6 vs M5). CCBs' only advantage over steels is fade resistance. In almost every other area they are the same or weaker than steels (worse initial cold bite and much worse in wet, same wear at high temp, CCB's are very brittle compared to steels, monumental cost). Unsprung weight is almost unnoticeable on these vessels.

Horsepower has little (actually nothing) to do with stopping power. The amount of force required to stop a 4300lb car from 200kph to 0 is the same no matter what the engine puts out.

Anyway there's plenty of threads on Bimmerpost on CCB's vs steels, and lots of industry info as well (not manufacturer info) so I won't go down that path. I'd highly suggest anyone looking to get CCB's understand what they're getting into. There is a lot of misleading information on their performance and longevity.

Definitely couldn't pay me to put them on my car.

M-sport exhaust will be the black tipped louder version exhaust, still stainless steel, that’s the reason it’s only 1500 bucks.

Mperformance exhaust will be just like the m3, a port installed option, titanium version with titanium or carbon tips I’m sure and will be 5-6k. It should be less than the Akra exhaust of last generation (7-9k) since it’s likely only axle back plus it’s only 1 center muffler opposed to 2 on the f10. Also no margins for Akra built in.

I doubt any of the m performance stuff will be orderable until mid 2018.

Does anyone know what the M Driver's Package is? Other than lifting the speed limiter, I can't find any other info.

you really can't expect much in the way of reading comprehension when a person talks about their vehicle " breaks" instead of their vehicle brakes.
