Light wheels & tires DEFINITELY make a difference!
I may be trading my car in this weekend, so I swapped the OEM wheels & tires back on. I put my aftermarket set on the day I drove the car home, so I wasn't "dialed in" enough to the car to notice much difference. Now that I have 19k miles on the light set (15lbs less each fr, 18lbs less each rr), The difference was night and day with OEM set back on. Much more sluggish from a standstill and I have to brake harder to stop.
Also, the RFT's do in fact ride much stiffer. Anybody going aftermarket, go lightweight - you won't regret it!

Hmm, still don't know the weights from this info. And have no idea how much those stock wheels would be. Can anyone chime in? Very curious about this as I am about to ditch my OEM 189s.

The GT7's are listed at about 17 lbs each whereas the stockers are listed around 30lbs each (rears are heavier than fronts). The non-RFT's are also a few lbs lighter than the RFT's. The difference in wheel/tire set weights were measured on my bathroom scale.
panzer948, I believe you'd see a huge performance difference going from OEM 19"s to some lighteweight 18"s (and have imroved ride quality too!).
