What tires should i get for my n55 e92?

Hey guys. I have a FBO 6mt 335i.

The car is an M-sport, so it has style 230m wheels on it.
Currently, I have Continental Extremecontact DW tires (Front-225/35/19 Rear 255/30/19).
I need to get new rear tires, so I have a few questions:

1) Should I upgrade the tire thickness? (aka go up from a 30 in the rear to, say, a 40? Will it drive normally? what are the pros/cons?

2) What tire should I get? I live in warm South Florida and I daily my car.

I really dislike having different rear tires, but i'll most likely upgrade to 18 inch apex arc-8's late spring/early summer of next year.

Thanks.

You can't just upsize the sidewall and not change something else. That will give you taller tires and most likely won't fit. You can play with the wheel calculator to see what different sizes will work, rule of thumb you if you keep it +/- 5% diameter from stock you'll be good. The DW is a decent tire especially the upgraded version out now. The didn't last long enough for my liking. I went the square route with Apex wheels (235/35/R18) with Michelin PSS and will never go back. Had them on for one season and they still look new where as I would almost go through a set of rear DW's before, and I don't even have the torque you guys have.

i went from 225/35/19 255/30/19 to 245/35/19 275/30/19 even though the profile is the same... they are a lot meatier since i went 2 sizes wider for both front and back michelin ps4s ! awesome !!

increasing the width of the tires increases the profile by a bit as well
