Extended Warranty
Hi
I just ordered the new X3 30i (Black Sapphire Metallic, Piano Black Trim, Ultimate Package). Has anyone considered an extended warranty. The dealer I got it from has a BMW extended warranty which just adds 2 more years - they also offer a 3rd party warranty syn tech which can go to 180km and 8 years which I'm thinking of since I tend to keep my cars a while. Currently driving a 2007 328i Given all the tech that comes with the ultimate package I'm leaning towards getting an extended warranty. Any thoughts - do you think it's worth it? Now the wait begins - delivery not expected till late Dec/ Early Jan Thanks Dean |

What was the price? When I bought my X3 '11, I was offered one and didn't buy it. 3 years later I went to extend it 2 years and pricing had gone up 25% approx. Also, what kind of discount did you negotiate

BMW Toronto was quoting 2874 for 8 years 160k km. with a 200 deductible. It was a 3rd party product sym-tech iselect. They have different tiers of protection. This was for their ultimate offering which seems to cover a lot. They did say there was a limit of 6000/per occurrence for idrive issues. I believe it was just over 4K for 10 years 200k km
