Tensioner you should do if you see the pulley wobbling. I would do the belt since it may have oil on it from the leak.

I did the pulleys, tensioner, and belt because I like being thorough with things when I'm performing maintenance

Agreed - OFHG leak is usually cause of belt contamination. Should inspect the tensioner while in there.

Can you explain how bad tensioners causes the oil filter housing gasket to go bad?

I think he meant the opposite. I had to replace my belt, tensioner and upper pulley because of my OFHG leak. My lower pulley actually looked pretty good and didn't have any oil on it. My tensioner and upper pulley were pretty nasty.

Yup - oil leak leads to bad tensioner / belt, not the other way around
Oil leak from housing gasket will contaminate and attack the rubber on your accessory belt, sling all over your drive pulley surfaces - which attracts dirt and gunks them up.
Just inspect if you've had oil leak for a while... it will eventually need to be done.

Can also do vanos solenoid o rings and seals while you池e in there. Those can start leaking too.

Vanos solenoids or o-rings? Are seals the same as o-rings? Also when should we replace vanos solenoids?

Guys: if my car has the oil cooler, is there a gasket that needs to be replaced for that at the oil housing?

I believe there are two ring gaskets. One to each hose. I don't have the oil cooler so they only replaced the one gasket for the housing for me.

The vanos solenoids have an O ring and a seal on them that keeps oil in the engine. These can begin to leak over time. If your solenoids are working you can just change the seals.
1 set per solenoid:

The oil cooler has 2 O rings, one on each hose connection where it goes into the cooler housing. The cooler housing has a gasket where it is bolted to the filter housing.
