1/4 Mile Times M240I

Got couple of runs in before the ran came - Wife had fun with the M240 - even with a conservative launch still 12.5 - Car will easily got in the 11 with a tune - As for the Camaro - just would not hook at all - easy launch 1500 rpm broke loose in 2nd pedaled it - broke loose in 3rd pedaled it - finally WOT in 4th nice trap at 114 but lousy ET of 13.1 - then I parked it - still a lot fun!!

Need to get to 115 MPH to where the fun starts. These cars feel very fast off the line and in the city but when you take it to the strip you realize numbers are just a bit better then the Golf R. The M3 and M4 are north of 118 MPH. Even with a good tune they seem to stick around 110 MPH

Not the MPH that wins the race it is Reaction time and ET _ I ran over 115 in my Camaro and still only ran 13.1 ET - I am not sure if I short shifted the M240 ie got into the highes gear early but I will be could be well over 112

Lol, so a 115 mph trapping car is fun, but a 110 mph trapping car isn't. That's so logical. On the street, these cars with a tune are all you need to smash on the majority of the competition without risking losing your license for stupid triple digit speeds. BTW, there are several JB4/intake/DP 340i's trapping 115+.

It is all fun - but in 1/4 bracket drag racing the driver who gets the best light (reaction) time - a good 60 ft (under 1.8) wins - Head to head same applies but cars with more HP can drive around less HP cars at the big end
If I want to just see what I can trap - I do not worry about RT or 60 FT - I have trapped over 120 In the camaro but it has over 400rwhp.
I am sure the wife will make a few runs in the spring short shifting with the paddles to see how fast it will go - will post the results

I wonder what m240 xdrive would do with jb4+dp at the strip. 340i's managed 12.0 @ 116 ish

The 340 is almost 500lbs heavier so that tells me that the M240 will be in the high 11 range with some tune that provides 30 or more whp -We will know in the spring unless someone beats us to it

12.0 was Activ-8+DP. 11.7 has been reached with Jb4+DP on pump gas in a RWD car

I wish the 240 was almost 500 lbs lighter than the 340. Then it would weigh the 3200 lbs it should weigh! It's actually only a 185 lb difference comparing automatic/RWD to automatic/RWD. 3519 lbs vs 3704 lbs. The AWD will add the same amount per car.
