Retreiving voicemail on Iphone through Idrive

Not sure why, but when my iphone is linked through bluetooth to the idrive system it is not possible to listen to voice messages on the phone. they play, but volume is silent. Does anybody else have the same result or am i missing some detail check in the idrive system?

Thanks

Are you talking about iphone visual voice mail ... i.e you are trying to listen to your voice mail through the iphone voice mail user interface, and play it back via the car ...

OR ...

Dialing the AT&T voicemail # to listen to voice mails ?

I can't listen to mine either. Everything else works great but when I'm checking VM I can't hear it through the BT. I hit "audio" on the phone and in my selections it comes up Iphone, Speaker phone and BMW. I select the car and still nothing.

It's never worked for me and quite annoying.

Doesn't work for me either. iDrive shows no messages. iPhone shows messages.

Not just M3

I have the same problem on my 2006 330. It must be present on all BMW Bluetooth capable vehicles.

It has to do with how the Iphone stores the visual voice mail system. If you actually call the phone number through the car you can retrieve your voice mail.
