So how bout that runflat tire protection package?
It's going to be really hard to miss those nails in the sidewall around 8000 miles?
Will a Z rated tire be able to be patched without losing its safety rating? Anyone else pick up this deal? Figure 4 or 5 sets of tires before lease turn in. Given my track record of running over nails and them being so close to the sidewall. Worth the $800 bucks? i'm guessing the runflat 18's are pretty costly |

paid $399 for 4 yr.
First nail cost my insurance company $320. Local tire shop don't have them in stuck and I use my BMW center. How you get $800?

I paid $800 and in the 1 1/2 I've had my car, I had a run-flat replaced and a bend rim repaired. So as of now I'm even and I am covered for 3 1/2 more years....

i've been trying to get an answer to this question and no one knows. maybe i'll just take all the RFT off once something happen and just put on regular ones to save me the headaches. Is it true that the car handles better with non run flats? Also, Bridgestone tires suck ass. I used to have them on my Benz and they last only 12k while my current Michellins has more than 25 on them. Feels much tighter and handing improves dramatically also.

F*ck that sh*t. Sorry, long story. Basically I got screwed over by that warranty because the "rear's didn't have enough tread left". Had nails in 3 of my tires. Could only replace one of the fronts under warranty.
Worst part: the warranty only covers the tires that came WITH the car. So now it only covers ONE more tire. I only got ONE free tire out of it and had to pay for the two rears. Load of bullsh*t.

A lot of people complain about the tramlining and noise from the RFT's. Otherwise, I haven't heard anyone says that RFT's are better performing than the PS2's. |
