No connection

I bought this cable for my 2018 F36.

With the car running, i plug the cable into my car and my laptop.

I have tried 2 different laptops and in both cases I get no IP address assigned and Esys cannot connect.

Do I have the wrong cable?

Looks like correct, ENET, to me.

Do you have any third party Antivirus/Firewall/Security suite running?

Nope, only the windows defaults.

For proper connection:

Make sure motor is running if car is not connected to External Charger.
Disable Third party Security Suites (ie Antivirus / Firewall / etc)
LAN Adapter is set for DHCP and not using a Static IP.
The Target Connection Window should not be blank (See multiple target connections for different chassis)

Did you try again today and see if it works?

No I haven't seen anywhere to select a COM port but I have successfully swapped out 6NH for 6NS and can now text and email using surprisingly good voice recognition.

I think a lot of the setup material is dated and it was actually much simpler to get to the point of editing the FA and coding.

Because i have an elm327 wifi but not sure if works with the rheingold
