Question TPMS Question

So I went to BMW today to pick up my X3 which was having a wheel bearing replaced. Decided to talk to my SA about having my new wheels put on when I pick up my E92. He told me that they would NOT mount the tires, OR install the TMPS on NON BMW rims, or if I didn't buy the tires through them. Is this true or are they feeding me a load of BS? I already bought the rims, tires, and tpms, and am at a loss if they won't install. Will a local place take care of it like Town Fair or something? I just want the TPMS installed right which is why I was going to have BMW do it.. I can get the tires mounted on the rims anywhere.. insight would be great.

Thanks

Zach

A monkey can install the TPMS sensors. Take it to town fair tire and tell your SA to go pound sand.

see the funny part was, after he told me they wouldn't do it, he proceeded to recommend a "friend" of his who would be happy to do it., of course, for a nominal fee. pretty sure I don't want some random schmuck working on my car, and is he even allowed to say shit like that?

He's a tool to start with. After the bullshit he pulled with my X3, and now this TPMS crap, I'm so done servicing through them. Thanks for the advice guys
