LED License Plate Upgrade?

I'm thinking about upgrading my license plate bulbs to white LEDs. Was wondering if anyone has them and could recommend where to get them. I definitely don't want it crazy bright to where its lighting up the ground etc.

Any input is appreciated. (Pictures would be great)

To be honest, I think you'll find any LED back there is going to be too bright for your liking. I had them on an old G35 sedan (6mt ) and they lit up the ground, and they were way smaller than the 335i lights (3x3 vs 3x9 iirc)!

Either way, if you happen to have Amazon Prime you also get free returns, so you may as well order a set and see if you like them. Here is an Amazon listing with a sample picture. That set is a bit more expensive than I expected though, at that price point you may as well get the full 18pc LED kit for $40 and see where else you want bright lights!

EDIT: Having seen the above picture, it's much more mild than I expected, +1 for TG Solutions! Your car color will probably play a pretty large roll in how bright it appears though.

Like most have said the LEDS are too bright so i put electrical tape over 1 or 2 of the rows of LEDs( cant remember). This keeps them nice and white and not too bright.

Thanks for the input everyone. Think I'll be going with HPB from Top Gear Solutions and, as mentioned, if too bright I'll cover some rows with electrical tape.

I have used some ebay generic bulbs and they've worked for years.

Went to autozone grabbed the first pair I found. Throws a code but I could care less they were dirt cheap and have lasted over 2 years now. It lights up my bumper a tad but nothing crazy
