xDrive Thermostat Removal?
I am in the process on changing out my water pump and Thermostat on my 335i xdrive. Getting the water pump out was pretty difficult, and now the thermostat seems nearly impossible to remove.
I have seen a few DIY's for changing the electric water pump and thermostat, most of them are for RWD, and the ones that are for AWD they skip changing out the thermostat. The few DIY's for removing the thermostat I have seen for AWD models, it seems that everyone is removing the radiator, fan, intercooler, and/or passenger wheel & lining. Has anyone with AWD changed out the thermostat without removing the stuff I mentioned above? |

I definitely did not remove the radiator, but I may have dropped the subframe. Do you have the Bentley manual? It's been a couple of years so I don't remember many details, and while it was more difficult than on my RWD 335i, it wasn't too bad.
