If anyone is considering spacers...

I just put 15mm/12mm (rear/front) on my 2009 e93 with OEM 193 rims. The car is not lowered etc, fully stock suspension. I can tell you so far, (a) they ride perfectly fine and (b) they are about at flush with the fenders as you can get. i have no idea how people are putting 20mm spacers on the rear with no rubbing, at least without fender rolling. I had my installer really scrub away all the rust and gunk from the hub before installing the spacers with anti-seize.

Love the look!

FWIW, mine are from burger. And yes, came with the longer bolts.

Alright, 'worthless' is a little strong, but let's see it!

We need some pics!

I've been thinking of adding some spacers & studs at all four corners.

I've pretty much settled on 12.5mm front, but still debating whether I should go 15mm or 17.5mm rear. I'm guessing you think I should go with 15mm.

My 330i has sport suspension, and will stay on the staggered OEM 162 style wheels w/stock size tires.

Since you have experienced the 15mm, would the extra 2.5mm be just enough to be "too much" for the above setup?

I knew i would be asked for pics here are a few (assuming they work, quite often the forum says my pics are too large, not sure how to resize). As for going higher than 15mm, on my stock 193 w/8.5 wide rears, I think they'd stick out too far. As it is, it's close.

[ok, tried to upload, forum says they're too big...no idea why!]

Looks pretty great! Lovin' those first two picture from the rear, the car looks so much meaner when you can see most of the back of the tire.

Thanks, I love it. on the other hand, and maybe it's normal, or just me, or something else, but it "appears" the camber is off? if that's the right term. Kinda looks like the tire is a bit towed in towards the top v. the bottom. I hate to even mention it in the event someone tells me there's something wrong!!!! But the spacer is flush with the hub and the wheel is flush with the spacer...

The wheel is supposed to be tilted inwards at the top when looking at it from the rear. That is the definition of negative camber, and is part of the stock alignment specs. Increased negative camber can improve some aspects of the car's drivability (think expert mode, autocross).

Toe in (or out) is the same concept but looking from the top down. You'd have to check the alignment specs, but if I recall the front wheels have a slight toe in, and the rear wheels are less or mostly parallel.

Anyway, the spacers look great, if there was a problem you'd probably notice it as a vibration. I need to up my spacer game, haha - running stock sport suspension (rwd) with staggered stock sport wheels. There is room for improvement on mine.

I am thinking about probably 20mm spacers for my fronts. It is a 08 E91 touring and I recently bought these M3 rims for dirt cheap and refinished them.

The rear is about perfect IMO with the wider tires on it. The front I think need about a inch or a touch less spacers though.....thoughts?

ETA: suspension and everything else is all stock everything.

ECS tuning spacers have worked great for me and they are priced right.

fronts do look like they need larger spacers. I have used ECS in the past as well, they were good. I have Burger Tuning on mine.

I am lowered on the Bilstein B12 prokit with the staggered wheel setup (18X8 and 18X8.5 OEM wheels). I tried spacers to get a flush look - 12 front / 15 rear. The 15 mm in the rear caused rubbing. Uninstalled until I can get my fenders rolled.

I agree.

15mm on the rear looks *perfect*

Thanks for sharing the info & pics!

Aside from flushness with the fender, do the spacers make the rear stance look significantly wider? I am running 18x8.5 all around on 235's and I despise how the rear looks (I know I should have gone with probably 18x9.5s or x10s, but I have to work with what I have).

significantly is relative I guess. They do look wider but really they just fit the wheel wells better and look more aggressive
