Physical Differences between E92 and E93 335i Exhausts

I recently picked up a 2007 335i E93 Convertible and am trying to evaluate options for a different exhaust system to use while retaining the stock primary catalysts, but removing the secondary cats.

Most manufacturers list part numbers for E90 and/or E92 models, but few have specific E93 part numbers.

In looking at exhausts that folks are trying to sell off their cars, there are many E92 take offs for sale, but haven't really found much in the E93 used market.

How much of a difference is there between the 2007 E92 and E93 exhausts systems and can an E92 system be adapted to a E93 without an unreasonable amount of modifications?

As another option, what about using the cans from an E92 system and just having a shop make a straight-through pipe that goes from the primary cats to the (cut) back boxes? Are the mounting points for the rear cans the same between the E92 and E93?
