Spoiler advice - CF or painted for space gray...

Well, I ordered an unpainted performance spoiler for my e93 - bad idea. looks like it will be well over $100 for my body shop to prime and paint it, which is probably reasonable but I can order a painted one off the bay for $99 shipped or I can get a carbon fiber for $109 shipped. Yes, I know to be careful with ebay but so far I've had good luck with my other cars and prepainted parts. I'm not as concerned with the color match, just wondering if you all think it would look "better" with CF or painted...I have the regular old bumper on the car, so no black insert but I do have black tail pipes if that matters and a gloss gray front grill set. Just looking for opinions and any pics if anyone has one of these performance spoilers on their e93. Thanks gang!

I honestly think that you can't go wrong either way. Its a personal preference. Color match = more OEM, CF = more sporty OEM+

My 335is is space gray, and my theory is: If Im going to put any CF pieces on the car, I need to have others to match. Its a personal preference but I feel that having only 1 CF piece looks disproportionate. Either way its going to look better than no spoiler! I guess since I have the "is" black mirrors and grills Im more inclined to match the spoiler to those pieces.

I bought an M3 style spoiler for $70 on ebay and a shop is painting and mounting it for $75. so Im saving about $30 versus buying the CF spoiler out right which is $170.

Cheers man, either way it'll look great.

Thanks! I was thinking that too. I'd have to get CF mirror caps at the very least to make it look like it "belongs". I'll get the painted one off eBay from Taiwan. Thinking the performance spoiler instead of the smaller lip spoiler. Anyone need an unpainted one?

I would say CF is more OEM, seeing as OEM perf spoilers only come in CF!
