Installed the Smartop mod yesterday...

wow, what a pain and what a great mod. It's not terribly easy to get behind that back seat area for the harness but once it's in, love the way it works. Haven't tested putting the top down while moving. And as everyone says, gotta be careful as you can really screw up the top if you hit a pothole while it's in motion. And I love that the mirrors fold in when you lock the doors, same as my A8. Simple feature, but I like it. So if anyone is on the fence, it's worth the $417.

Including one-touch up and down?

Could the coding be done on the 135i very as well for the one touch?

I can already do that holding the button down the whole time. Didn't like that. And now my mirrors auto fold in upon locking. Love that feature.

dlf75---I've already coded my mirrors to close upon arming so ~$420 just to have one-touch hardtop up and down is a bit steep.

Bimmergeeks--on the E93 there is single switch which lowers all the windows at once, it's one-touch down. Is it possible to code one-touch up from that same switch?

Pretty sure I do not want to shell out that much money for that feature.

I get it I'm a goofball. I do love mods though. Just not performance mods on my wife's ride.

I coded the same thing by modifying the NETTODAT file of my CAS to to 0 seconds for comfort window close/mirror fold. I dunno why people sell a separate module for it when it's a feature built into the car

No one was calling you a goofball. I simply stated that I can't justify the hefty price-tag for those one-touch features.

I enjoy mods too, I added the rear back up camera and updated to a combox to have the iPhone work through USB and display album art.

No one has mentioned performance mods, that's a topic for a different thread.
