E90 DSC, TPMS, and multifunction error
Hi everyone, I have a 2007 BMW 328i, I had a cracked wheel last week, and I brought another one put it on with TPMS, and while I'm going back home the car went crazy, it started surging, and Navigation went off, shaking, and little smoke went out, and I got DSC, TPMS, Multifunction errors, and the car doesn't go over 40 miles and drives at only 2 speeds, it says slow down and drive at a moderate speed and have it checked by dealership. I went today to BMW mechanic, and he said my alternator needs replacement, and will cost about $1,450 and it's not distributing voltage properly. Any help will be appreciated

I've had this same problem in my X5. Last error was two days ago. After three messages I have narrowed it down to having something plugged into the power outlets in the back during long trips.
I say this because it has only happened when my daughter has her phone or laptop, or both, connected. It makes me think its battery related. I could be wrong. |

I had to go to BMW, he said it's a bad alternator. In your case I would go to Walmart get another battery and check if everything is good or not, then return it back to Walmart and get the factory one.
