Advice/ Help?

I recently installed the M strut tower brace set. I'm not sure what happened but now my windshield wipers crap out? At first they hardly worked and it blew the control module in the fuse box. I replaced that, then the #79 fuse blew I replaced that. They worked for a bit, but every time I turned them on I could hear the control module click in the fuse box, in the glove box. Then yesterday in pouring Florida ran on the interstate they completely die again. Unbelievable!! Could have gotten me and my son killed. I'm guessing something is binding on the motor or arms maybe? Ii'm also guessing the control module crapped out again since #79 fuse is still good? I can't have no wipers in Florida. Help anyone!! I'm about to take off the M strut tower to see if that helps.

More times than not, a problem seen after a mod is either a fault of the mod itself, or a result of a mistake made relating to installation of the mod.

Remove the brace, recheck everything related to the installation, and I bet you'll find the problem.

I think I found it possibly. The power wire to the wipers was pinched in between the top bracket of the strut brace and the big torx bolt that holds it down. About 1/2 of the wire is pinched down and I can see a little of the wire inside. So, I'm guessing this caused a short. I found #50 fuse popped. #79 still good and the control unit is still good. I replaced the #50 fuse and I used some electric tape to wrap around the power/ control wire to the wiper motors. Tested and they work. Left them on about 15 minutes to make sure. Hopefully this solves the problem. I'm about to go buy some more fuses since that was my last one to keep in the car for emergencies.
