Welcome Lights based on Ambient/Light Sensor?

So I'm looked around and can't seem to find a solution for this. On my 2 series the welcome lights always turn on whenever I unlock the car using the key fob. However on my i3 the Welcome Lights only engage after dark, so clearly there is an option for it to use the light sensor. I've spotted it in the Bimmercode app, however does anyone actually know the coding for this? I want to document it! Thanks!
