Nice photos. Did you happen to check the wheel well and see if the slit is open or welded shut?

I have to say I like how BMW has a hierarchy in the design ques between the base model up to the M40i. I was never a fan of the previous F25 XLine but I am liking the variation in range of the G01. The all look good.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Sorry...I've not dug into the photo's to check the Air Breather. Better yet...Hopefully I'll find one parked somewhere around town...Plant staff are driving the G01's home now...and I can eyeball it for you.

That would be awesome. It has been a discussion for some time if the air breathers actually allow air to pass or if they function passively.

Somewhat surprised that Scott26 hasn't chimed in with some hard data regarding this confusion, if indeed he is affiliated with BMW, other than re-posting the diagram. It can't be that difficult a mystery to answer. Is Breather active on any of the G01 models? Yes/No. If yes, which ones? Then again, Mgmt may have gag orders in place to prevent un-approved information sharing.

I didn't like the white one that we saw at the release but this one doesn't look bad at all in this color! If I can't justify the cost of the M40 I think this may do quite nicely!

I hope the X3M looks more aggressive than this. Looks closer to an X2 than an X3 to me.

Not a fan of the front end. The rears looks good to me though. Hope this is not a foreshadowing of the next X5.

I'm usually an M-Sport fan - I drive a M-Sport X5..but this doesn't do it for me. The M40i looks so much better than this. Not nearly aggressive enough.

Disappointing design yet again from BMW. That's not progress. Could be an X1. I actually think it is slightly worse than the current model. I am not buying another one

Not seen the M Sport yet, but when we hosted the Closed Room, the car on display had xLine and the air breather was closed.

I must say I think it look hideous. Does not have the new iconic lights?? And the grilles look like buckteeth.

BMW is one of the few companies that older generations age well. This is an evolutionary of the existing X3 and not revolutionary. I am okay with this. it means in 10+ years this car will still look good.

Looks like a previous gen X5. I think blue is a better color for this car. Black looks a bit disappointing.

Well Max

No doubt being a very busy man, SCOTT has better things to do.

Yes it is functional.

I think it looks great. It does have more of a larger X1 look than a smaller X5 but I do still think it is a nice update.
