Kayak Mounts for OEM Rack

Hey all,

I love the pricing of the E92 base rack and bike components but the kayak mounts seem oddly high priced. Anyone know if any other kayak mounts will work on this rack?

Amazon has lots of options. Folding mounts cost more than stationary ones. I'm considering just buying a cheap pair to start out with.

I have the OEM base rack. I'm talking about the kayak-specific mounts that affix to the rack. hoping there are other options that will work with the bmw rack.
