iDrive Weather App Disappeared?

Have you guys ever had this happen? I can select weather in the split screen, but it's not listed under the ConnectedDrive Vehicle Apps anymore, so I can't pull the full app up.

Did you "customize" the menu to hide from the list?

at 40 seconds (looks a bit different in iDrive 5)

Nope. Weather is no longer an option to display on the tile, as the Vehicle App has disappeared.

I have ID6L and sometimes Weather disappears momentarily, then comes back.

Yeah. I never actually used the app, but I had weather chosen as my ID6L Connected Drive live tile. No longer available and hasn't returned.

I haven't played w/ID 6 so I'm not sure. Though to me it looks as if the tiles display the last function used w/in the app?

Makes sense that if "BMW Online" is not reachable or service is temporarily down that the dependent widgets wouldn't work.

Reading the bimmercode app thread many idrive 6 lite users say it randomly disappears and comes back.

My weather widget has been gone for like a week now. I happened to find the hot spot setup trying to fix the weather widget and set it up but I have no service. All seems related. The news app is not working but I set up my customized news feed and it works. Totally confusing. I have a service appointment scheduled for Wednesday.

Dealer has nothing listed for this I think it's a bmw issue with the service. I took mine in for it and nothing was found.

Nah, you choose in settings what is displayed in the CD tile.

Everything started working again as of today connected drive apps

Ok so I upgraded to ID6 lite last night after working out how to remove the 5series image.

The weather app was there, all good, and this. Morning. Now this evening it's disappeared, restarted the car, no change. That's annoying....

Could you give more details on how you removed 5series image? With ID6 lite I've noticed a 4-door image under my vehicle tile.

Yes, fairly simple, you go into display options, and deselect simplified vehicle status - it now shows no vehicle and more info about the trip computer etc. I'd rather it showed an M2 but eh you can't have everything...
