squeaky driverside mirror

Hey anyone else have a squeaky driver side mirror when folding? gets quite annoying and ive had the car for less than a year (noticed it apx 1/2 year) and less than 14k km on the car.

I do. Usually only happens when its hot out. Ive just been living with it tbh, but it is bit annoying. Might try some WD-40 or something to see if that helps, sounds like its plastic rubbing on plastic with heat expansion though.

Im out of warranty now, but if your car is new it would definitely be worth taking it into the dealership and have them try to fix it.

Heat is definitely a factor. On my last F30 it was so bad that the mirror housing would jump as it was folding. Dealer told me that there wasn't anything physically wrong with. Took it to another dealer and they replaced it under warranty.

Yep, happens on BOTH my mirrors on really hot days. I've been leaving them in the out position on hot days....like today...think it was in the Hugh 80's or so

I had this same problem this spring and the dealer took a look at it. In my case, hey found a lot of dirt and crud buildup so they just cleaned it out and lubed it up. Best of luck to ya
