Coilover suggestion
Hi guys,
i found the stock suspension setting is too stiff on poorly paved road, i m looking for an alternative which can provide a more supple ride. Is Bilstein PSS10 a good choice for daily drive? Thx in advance |

Ohlins is popular but honestly kw or bilstein won't disappoint. My go to with M cars is ground control but I don't think the have a kit yet for f87

I don't want to play with the numerous bound/rebound combination, so MP and KW is out of the question. From my past experience Ohlins is definitely on the harsh side, i m looking for a more supple side
Anyone who had installed PSS10 on M2 can share their experience? |

Most of the aftermarket solutions are going to be more harsh, with adjustments that will be even stiffer for the track.
I'd love to know of a company that makes a softer / more compliant ride that stock, too, but don't know of any. Have you ridden in a M235i or 240i? Is that the kind of ride you're looking for? |

I haven't driven a car with them, but I am pretty sure you could create a more compliant setup than stock with the Ohlins and the right springs. Finding those spring rates and adjustment may be time consuming though.

So, while the rate is technically stiffer then stock, it behaves quit a bit different and ultimately isn't as harsh." Source: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...5&postcount=30 |

I have Öhlins R&T M2 kit with the default springs. When setting the shocks to softer settings it's more comfortable than OEM. IMHO. And you can order the kit with softer springs. Make sure you order from a competent reseller who know what they are doing. |
