Question Help! New wheels for base 2.5i Z4

I would like to know if 18 inch wheels would fit my 2005 Z4 2.5i base model? If so, which size tire is recommended. If not, should I up grade to 17 inch wheels? What would this do to ride height and would this change the space between the top of the tire and the fender. Not only am I worried about rubbing I am also worried about an unsightly gap between the fender and the tire. I currently have 16 inch wheels.

The base model is the same chassis as the higher end models, so the info for te 3.0i applies to your car. In fact the simplest upgrade path would be to buy the wheels for a sport packge 2.5i (17") or 3.0i (18"); you could then consult your owner's manuals for tires sizes and air pressure.

Your model Z4 can actually fit up to a 19X10 inch rim in the rear. I recommend an 18 inch rim, but go with a staggered fitment (wider in the rear). Unfortunately, if you don't have the sport suspension, then you will have a slight gap between the tires and the fender, but not too bad.

X2 Look around for someone selling their oem wheels/tires, quality and no question about fit.

There is a decent calculator at http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 which may help you with figuring out size differences.

I found some E90/92 18s for mine and it worked out perfect. I don't have the sport model so there are no fitment issues and no rubbing. These are off the E92 coupe sport.....

hi, 18" no problem , the tire sizes depends on the wheel width, I have also
2.5i model and I installed 19"x8.5 front with 235/35 tires and 19"x9.5 rear with 265/30 tires.

If you klick on the photo you can see some other pictures as well.
