I just did some autocrossing, 1st time!

And yeah. It was fun. But damn its hard. Felt like car was overpowered and front heavy, and I know they are for this type of driving.

My best time was 1.21 something and for reference a Cayman GT4 with semislicks was like 1.09. There was a clubsport GTI I think we had the same time. A turbocharged prelude with semislicks did in 1.17.

But yeah, overall fun day, some understeer coming in to fast and some oversteer going out to slow. I am on michelin pilot sports 19" and they 2.5bar

I dont think this track is for front-heavy turbocharged cars, the whole experience was kinnda jerky.. throttle on/off, mostly 3rd 4th gear. Maybe its just my lizard brain telling me to go WOT all the time..

Yes, there is a video. But its inverted so dont look at the speedo. Rolling start, 2nd gear, 40km/h.

That looks like a fairly high speed autocross. Something I would probably enjoy.

You're on the throttle when you're turning that's why you are getting so much understeer. You should only be getting on the gas as you are unwinding the wheel through the turn. Get all of your braking done just before you turn in.

It's your first autocross so it's a learning experience. I would suggest signing up for an event where an instructor rides with you. Just learning the basics would drop your times dramatically.

RE-71r's and m3/4 LCA so you don't destroy the shoulders the first time out.

All good advice, ty.!

I need to be way more harmonic, I noticed this too.

Will definitely just take a couple slow technique runs and just get the timing right and then push it.
