Spied: F90 M5 interior - automatic transmission, red start button, startup video

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Interior photos including the new automatic transmission gear selector / shifter (which I think looks awesome - looks like that from the Concept 8), red push start button, carbon fiber trim, exhaust valve button, M1 and M2 buttons, etc.

See recent F90 M5 news @ http://www.bimmerpost.com/f90-m5/

Added video with interior and startup sound:

Loving the shifter. Looks like a spaceship lol. Also another thing I noticed towards the right side where the trim is right below it looks like the leather splits and there is contrast stitching and it goes in line with the trim. Looks sick

Yes thank you!

It got quiet there for a while... is bmw actually getting better about keeping the details under wraps....

Shifter looks huge in my opinion...

Where are the red m buttons?

It's missing a manual gear selector.

I think the steering wheel is a downgrade from the current M wheel, doesn't look as sharp and sporty

The exhaust valve control is a welcome addition - BMW has been derelict in this area, compared to the competition, for a while now. It's nice to have the loud on/off switch easily accessible.

I need an exhaust button! There should be a way to mute the exhaust but still have the same performance, like stealth sport + mode or have the valves open in comfort.

Maybe this isn't the final one. This is just the same used in the M550..doubt they would put the same one in the M5.

The shifter looks straight out of a Toyota or Nissan. What is going on here with the top level M car?

I wonder if the X3M/X4M will get the same shifter? since it appears all DCT is dead and all future M cars will be automatic.

The M3/4 and M2 will likely retain a manual for at least one more generation, and if they make an M Z5.
