N55 Engine customization

I'm personally very happy with my car's looks and performance but I feel like when I pop my hood it's missing that WOW factor. It's a very dull and boring engine bay lol I was wondering what others have done... Post pics if you have any.

Nothing and engine is supposed to perform not look good. How often do you pop your hood? theirs no point unless you have a show car!

I don't know Underground. I will disagree. I like a clean engine bay!

My E46 had a perpetually clean and polished bay from mile 0 to 96,000 miles when I sold her.

My E90 and the N55 is a nasty looking engine with the cowl removed and worse the engine bay can't stay clean for nothing.

OP they are lots of engine bay cleaning and polishing products at your local Autozone, NAPA, Pepboys, etc...
I've used Engine Cleaner on all my cars but it is pointless on the E90 because the N55 engine bay just gets dirty again as soon as you drive off.

I totally agree with you but aside from a clean engine(which is a must for me ) I want something different. For example, look at the F30's with the N55 (same motor), their engine bays look agressive. I just wanted something different, I feel like the E9x N55's engine bays look boring. lol

I understand where you guys are coming from but your money is better spent elsewhere. Now if you really wanted to dress it up, you can add some carbon fiber accents.
