First Autox Yesterday

I went my first autox yesterday since I got the car. Let's just say I have a lot to learn. I did two seasons of autox in my 325, but this thing is a whole other animal. I DNF'd my first two runs, mainly because I got lost on course. But with my last 3 runs my times went down significantly. You don't have nearly as much time to react in a fast car like this. You're at the corner before you know it and you're carrying too much speed. By the time you brake, it's too late. I had to prepare myself ahead of time more so than I did in the 325 because I would arrive there so much faster. It was really fun pushing the tail out on a couple sweepers in mid 2nd though. The real test should be here in about 2 weeks when I get it up to the track for a couple days as I think it's going to perform much better out there than on a small autox course.

Yeah, I'm running the full course, so I should easily hit the limiter on the back straight. I was able to get my E46 325 rolling at ~120 a few times, so it shouldn't be any problem to hit 155 in the M3. I'm heading up there in the morning for the first day of a two day DE and I'm getting to play on a wet skid pad tomorrow. I'll post a full write up on friday or this weekend.
