Within hours of purchasing the car last May, I was greeted with the Engine Management Light. I sent the car to my trusted independent for diagnostics, resulting in the replacement of both Vanos solenoids and one injector. Genuine BMW parts were used with invoices from Cotswold of Gloucester included. I also took the opportunity to replace the floor mats with a new set of genuine BMW ones. To follow up the work carried out, the car was also given a full service with the correct grade Castrol oil and Mann filters all round.

Summary

The car is in good condition overall for age and mileage. It drives fantastically well – Everything is tight and there are no rattles and bangs. Gear changes are very smooth. The car pulls incredibly well in every gear and, needless to say, is pretty quick. As with most N54s, the turbo waste gates rattle. This was apparent when I bought the car in May 2016 and has become no worse. As far as I know it causes no problems to the running or performance.

The interior is in good condition with only minor signs of wear – The seats themselves are in great shape. Even the drivers' bolster has very minimal wear. The exterior has various small blemishes including stone-chips on the front bumper, nose-cone and bonnet. There is absolutely no rust that I am aware of. The Style 313 wheels all have signs of kerbing but still look the part and have absolutely no cracks or buckles. All four tyres match, are premium brand (Pirelli P Zero) and are in very good order with even tread wear.

The car is now almost 10 years old and has been used daily. It is not a show-queen, so please keep that in mind.

Please do not let any of the above faults put you off coming to view the car; I like to be completely honest. The photos make it look immaculate and although it isn’t – it is a very good, clean and original example in an incredibly rare colour with no nasty surprises.

A little bonus is that for some reason this car falls into VED band K, which means tax is £295 per year rather than the usual 335i Band L bracket of £500 per year. And no, I'm not joking!

The price already reflects mileage, year, condition and maintenance/history, so please do not insult me by trying to knock it down further without at least coming to see it. You will struggle to find another example with this colour combination and condition for this price.
