SoCal Dealer Service relationship

Picked my M2 up at the SC PCD. Had an amazing experience during my 1200 mile service at BMW in Dallas. Their shop Forman was the only one who drove my car into the garage (it's a manual and wanted someone that wasn't going to learn on my clutch). Their Master Tech was the only one that serviced my car. During the service he parked it by a window so that I could watch. Once it was finished he walked me into the garage. Went over what was done. Pulled the car out of the garage and did the test drive with me in the car.

As I have been racking up miles and nearing my next service I have been putting feelers out to a couple dealers to find one that I vibe with. Someone I trust to take care of my baby, for my gf to purchase her 4 series through and for me to pick up a a work car. I thought I would easily find the same level of service here in socal but it appears to be harder to find than I initially thought.

Any dealers that you all recommend? Or have had exceptional experience with? What I'm asking for is the same excellent service that I received previously. I'm an easy guy to get along with who loves his car. Sure I'm a little particular, but no more than you would be treating your own car.

Tl;dr: M2 owner seeking relationship with a quality dealership who takes pride in their customer service.

I'm taking mine in for service to Beverly Hills BMW next weekend.

This is for my breakin service, and I've never been to this dealer, so I will let you know about my experience.

I bought it at Steve Thomas BMW in Camarillo, which was positive, and I've been warned away from Pacific BMW (Glendale) by more than one coworker due to poor attention to detail with regard to service and general lack of customer service.

For your service needs, I would recommend taking it to Charlie@McKennaBMWService in Norwalk. He's taken great care of my M2 and my mom's X5.

I've been dealing with Charlie@McKennaBMWService for years, my whole family goes to him, and a majority of my local clients go to him.

Best in the SA in the industry, always up-front, honest, and takes care of the cars as if they were his own.

If Charlie can guarantee no washes and test drives at all then I will come to him for service when my M2 arrives.

He can! He prints out a no wash sign and they don't test drive your car unless the work requires it.

I can vouch for Charlie based on our recent, as well as past experience with Charlie. May that be my M2, M4 or M5 (frozen white) or my M6, or my son's M3. All personal attention to the last detail.

Charlie Kim at McKenna BMW .

Hmm, this can mean anything. Some dealers state a basic oil change requires a test drive to get the readiness of oil gauge to take a reading. Of course you can idle the engine for this to happen, just takes longer.

I absolutely want no test drives at all.

I understand I'm the same way. Charlie understands and if you tell him they won't.

Absolutely, I know how particular certain people can be with their vehicles(myself included) but I can definitely reassure you that we will not wash your vehicle and more importantly we will not drive your vehicle especially if it's purely maintenance.

Hey guys,

I just ordered MY18 M2 and trying to figure out if anyone had experience dealing w/ Bakersfield of BMW? I am not purchasing car from them due to their ridiculous 5k markup so not sure what their service department will be like.

Also, anyone have experience with Valencia BMW?

Make a brief day trip to my dealer brother and I'll take care of you.

Anyone had their break in service at Beverly Hills BMW? I would like to go to McKenna but it's a bit out of the way for me to go during the weekday.

One way drive of 2.5 hrs is what I would like to avoid. But if there is no dealer people recommend that's closer, I might have to endure it...

Did my break in service with Brian Woolverton at Long Beach BMW. Got a great treatment and did the break in service right. You can get a loaner too!

I did my break in service with Charlie at McKenna, I showed up about 20 min earlier than my scheduled time and was immediately taken care of. I think I was in and out of their like in an hour and a half.
