EZ pass

Anybody have issues with EZ pass. I didn't transfer it yet to my car, I been using the toll machines, ekk. Do we need the special external pass or the sticky on the window will be fine?

Stickey on window works OK on mine. Just do not put it in front of the mirror. Mine is to the right of the mirror by about 3".

In Houson we have EZpass.
I do not have my e90 yet, but on my Dad's mercedes, he has a tag that is on his plates because MB glass is too thick for the reader to pick up the transmitter

I didn't put it on the window and just keep it in the glovebox. I find I don't need it so much these days so there's no need to keep it affixed to the windshield.

My aunt has Fastrak on her S600 and uses it all the time with no problem of it being detected.

Works fine in the windshield, just to the right of the mirror mount. Don't put it up into the heavy tint.

Cool just wanted to make sure before I mount the sucker. I don't feel like driving a manual tranny trying to get the damn thing to work.

EZPass will tell you that certain models need external tags. BS - just mount the tag below the tint line and it'll work fine. Had an external tag last winter - ditched it because it would get so covered up with slush and then freeze, wouldn't read (got 3 letters from NJ Turnpike Authority over that baloney).

Guess EZtag isant as strong as "fastrak"
It also looks better on the front plate because its just a small black strip so it blends in well.
