E90 lci inner led taillight not working!!

So I noticed that the inner taillight that's on the trunk on the right side has stopped working. I could really find a thread that has this topic in how to fix it but there was a YouTube video on this issue.

Has anyone ever run into this problem? It's the led strip that runs horizontally on the inner taillight.

I'm hearing that you have to replace the entire unit which sucks!

Probably the solder joints on the PCB board.

I had this, corrosion on one of the pins for the connector was the issue, just scratch the corrosion away and it's good to go again.

How did you get to the pins?

Same way you'd get to the light to change a bulb.
