E90 LCI Conversion - Hood and Bumper, kit?
Hey - I'm in the process of converting my '06 330xi to LCI. I have the rear end complete and am looking to do the hood, bumper, and headlight swap. Any thoughts on where I can find the hood and bumper other than a salvage yard or through BMW? I'm open to going aftermarket, I think, as long as its 100% identical. Would be great if I could get them together and/or pre-painted but I know that's a stretch. If anyone has any pointers I'd appreciate it!

Yup, checked ECS - they don't have any aftermarket options for the hood and only M-Sport/M-tech aftermarket options for the front bumper. I'd prefer OEM anyway but its $$.
I'm also still debating whether I prefer the regular LCI front bumper or the M-sport look. Anyone have advice / strong opinions one way or the other? |

Thanks Siphor - I do like the look and I feel it looks more modern (F30ish) than the regular bumper but I also like the elegant look of the regular bumper. Plus I'm not sure how the chrome kidneys would look with the M-sport, would have to go black I guess? I'm also figuring the M-sport is lower? This may be a problem given the roads in NYC.
Decisions aside, any pointers on where to buy the hood/bumper? |
