E90 Professional Head unit display blank

As above I have a replacement professional head unit with bluetooth and usb
to replace my old professional headunit as the mulf has failed.
When I plug it in the radio works straight away and the screen lights up orange but is completely blank. It isn't the usual dropped pixel problem, has anybody else seen this before??

Well if its new its probably defective.
There is a long history of the Pixel displays
on the Pro Radio and its predecessors going bad in these
cars and there are repair kits for them on ebay but if you have
a new unit it should work out of the box.

The Radio should do something indendent of the Mulf
but both need to be coded for your car.
And you shouldn't need a mulf with the new radio as it covers
all the functions that were previously in the Mulf.

Do you think a new screen might fix this problem, I'd be willing for try it if there was any chance it would work

Not an option to return as it was a brand new unit that was ordered incorrectly, it was fitted and programmed but wasn't the actual cause of the issue, it then could not be returned and has sat on a shelf for the last 3 years

My first bet would be that the Display is not the problem if
its a new unit unless somebody shorted it out.
I would try to read it with a coding setup first.
